General Terms and Conditions for Events/Courses/Seminar room

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions are applicable to events and courses at the House of Läderach, irrespective of whether they are booked via the website www.houseofladerach.com, by e-mail or by phone.

The contracting partner for customers is:

Läderach (Schweiz) AG
House of Läderach
Grabenstrasse 6
CH-8865 Bilten
Tel.: +41 55 645 44 55
E-Mail: houseofladerach@laderach.com

2. Offer and conclusion of contract

By clicking the button (“Order”, “Complete order”), the customer makes a binding order/reservation for the event/course services listed on the order page. After submitting the order, the customer can no longer make any changes to it. Change requests are possible only by separate agreement after speaking with the House of Läderach.

The House of Läderach will confirm receipt of the order/reservation by e-mail. With confirmation by Läderach, the corresponding contract comes bindingly into effect.

3. Prices

The prices listed on the event/course/product page are in Swiss francs (CHF) and include value-added tax and other price components. A separate statement of value-added tax is not issued. Läderach expressly reserves the right to change prices as a result of, among other things, a change in taxes, fees or shipping costs.

4. Participation

Number of participants

The customer undertakes to notify the House of Läderach of the definitive number of participants for a customised event/course not later than 10 business days before the date of the event. If the final number of participants differs from the number of participants notified by the customer, the number of registered participants is controlling and will be charged or debited. A refund cannot be claimed for unused services as a result of persons being suddenly unable to attend.

Minimum age

The minimum age for participating in events/courses is eight years or pursuant to the event/course description on our website.

5. Payment terms

Payment must be made in advance not later than 10 days before the date of the event/course. Payment may be made by credit card, Twint, PayPal or against invoice. If payment is made by credit card, Twint or PayPal, the customer’s account is debited immediately. An offsetting of the customer’s counterclaims is excluded.

6. Cancellation of event/course reservation, cancellation fees

Cancellation of a reservation for events or courses requires the consent of the House of Läderach, documented in written form. If such consent is not given, the agreed price is payable even if the customer does not make use of the contractual services. In the event of a no-show by the customer, 100% of the booked services will nevertheless be charged or debited; in all other respects, the following cancellation fees apply.

Decisive for the calculation of the cancellation fee is receipt by the House of Läderach of the customer’s written cancellation. The cancellation can be sent by letter, fax or e-mail with acknowledgement of receipt.

Cancellation fees

It is possible to cancel a reservation for an event or course. In such case, however, the following cancellation fees are charged:

– Up to 30 days before the start of the event/course: 0% of the agreed order total

– 29 to 8 days before the start of the event/course: 50% of the agreed order total

– 7 days to 1 day before the start of the event/course: 75% of the agreed order total

– No-show on the day of the event/course: 100% of the agreed order total

Impossibility of arrival

If the customer is unable to arrive at the last minute or to arrive on time due to force majeure (flood, earthquake, etc.), he or she is not obligated to pay the agreed fee for the missed event/course. The customer must promptly provide Läderach with proof of the impossibility of arrival.

If the customer arrives too late on the day of the event (due to the customer’s fault), Läderach (Schweiz) AG is not responsible for carrying out the event in full, but has the right to shorten the event to the time offered and to charge the full amount.

Cancellation by Läderach

Läderach reserves the right to cancel events or courses at any time due to important reasons and/or force majeure. In such case, the customer will be refunded the amount already paid.

7. Liability

Läderach excludes all liability for the holding of events/courses to the extent permitted by statute. The lessor is not liable for personal injury as well as loss or damage to equipment, exhibits or wardrobe brought in. The tenant has the obligation to immediately report any damage to the rooms or inventory and is liable for all property damage and personal injury. In particular, the customer is personally responsible for informing himself or herself about any allergies/intolerances of event/course participants and notifying Läderach and these participants accordingly. Läderach is available to answer questions at any time about product ingredients.

8. Applicable law

Swiss law is exclusively applicable to contracts with Läderach, under exclusion of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and conflict-of-laws rules.

Ennenda, Glarus, is the exclusive place of jurisdiction.

9. General provisions

Läderach processes transmitted personal data for organising and managing the event/course. Läderach also uses the data to inform the customer about news and other events/courses. In addition, Läderach’s Privacy Policy applies.

If a provision of these General Terms and Conditions should be ineffective, the contract remains effect in all other respects. Applicable in place of the ineffective provision are the relevant statutory provisions.

Läderach may modify these General Terms and Conditions at any time. Applicable are the General Terms and Conditions in the version published on the website.
